- Mix the milk, sugar, Crisco, and salt and heat just until the Crisco is melted.
- Add 1/2 cup of milk to the mixture.
- Ensure the mixture is just warm, then add the dry yeast.
- Beat well until the yeast is dissolved.
- Add the well-beaten eggs and beat well.
- Add 3 cups of white flour and 1 cup of wheat flour.
- Let the dough rise for 3 hours.
- Knead the dough.
- Roll out the dough about 3/8-inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
- Place the cut dough on greased cookie sheets.
- Let the shaped dough rise for about 2 hours.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
