Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 3 Tbsp. wheat germ
  • 3 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. milk (approximately)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Combine flour with wheat germ, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Cut in shortening and butter.
  3. Add milk to hold together.
  4. Work dough; press into pan and prick bottom.
  5. Bake on baking sheet at 375° on low shelf for 20 minutes or golden brown.
