Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon flavoring
  • 1 pound powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Put shortening in mixer and beat well until soft and fluffy.
  2. Add salt, water, cream of tartar, flavoring, and powdered sugar to the mixer.
  3. Beat at medium speed for at least 10 minutes until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.
