Crisp, tangy white cucumber pickles with a subtle sweetness and vinegar punch, perfect for summer snacking or as a refreshing side for sandwiches and barbecues.

Ingredients

  • 2 gallons cucumbers
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  1. Soak cucumbers in salt overnight.
  2. Drain and place cucumbers in jars.
  3. Put 3 tablespoons of sugar on top of cucumbers.
  4. Fill jars with vinegar and water mixture.
  5. Seal jars and place in a pot of water, deep enough to cover the jars by 2 inches.
  6. Boil for 10 minutes; take jars out immediately.
