  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 to 6 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, flour, shortening, and milk in a saucepan and heat until boiling.
  2. Cool slightly and stir in vanilla.
  3. Pour the mixture slowly over stiffly beaten egg whites, beating until well blended.
