- Soak the tapioca and prunes separately overnight.
- Cook the prunes in one quart of water until tender.
- Add the soaked tapioca, grape juice or wine, salt, cinnamon stick, sugar, and lemon including rind to the pot.
- Cook slowly until the tapioca is dissolved and the mixture thickens.
- Add the lemon at the end of the cooking time.
