- Use Pillsbury pie crusts from the regular section of the grocery store and fit them into a 9-inch pie plate.
- Combine all ingredients: 6 cups sliced apples, 3/4 to 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg, and a dash of salt. Mix well.
- Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie shell.
- Cover with the top crust, make slits in the top to vent steam.
- Bake for 55 to 60 minutes until golden brown.
- Place something under the pie while baking to catch any drips.
