Ingredients

  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup oleo
  • 1/2 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Mix oatmeal, brown sugar, and oleo until resembles pastry dough.
  2. Add Karo syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract, and mix well.
  3. Press the mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan using wet hands.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
