Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples
  • 3 medium yams
  • 3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Cook yams and sweet potatoes until almost tender.
  2. Peel, slice, and layer in a casserole dish.
  3. Alternate rows of sliced apples and potatoes, ending with apples on top layer.
  4. Dot with margarine and sprinkle with sugar and pecans.
  5. Add water around the layers, then bake until bubbly and golden.
