Yam Apple Hash
Ingredients
Instructions
- Place yams in a medium saucepan with 1 1/2 cups of water. Cover and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cook for 40 minutes until yams feel done.
- Drain yams and rinse out pan.
- Place apples in the pan with 3 tablespoons of water.
- Cover and cook for 3 minutes until barely done.
- Remove pan from heat and mash apples with a fork.
- Mash yams, butter and lemon juice.
- Add sugar and nutmeg.
- Stir in apple mixture.
- Mix well and serve.
