Yogurt Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
  • 2 Egg Beaters (egg substitute)
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • butter flavored vegetable cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients; set aside.
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl and let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in yogurt mixture and eggs.
  4. Combine flour and salt.
  5. Stir 2 cups flour mixture into yogurt mixture and beat at medium speed with electric mixer until smooth.
  6. Gradually stir in remaining flour mixture, cover and put in a warm place, letting rise until doubled in bulk, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  7. Punch dough down and shape as desired.
  8. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
  9. Cover, let rise until double in bulk.
  10. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  11. Yield: 4 dozen (66 calories per roll).
