Crispy, sweet pecan nuts coated with brown sugar and vanilla, perfect for snacking or sharing at gatherings. A delightful treat with rich, caramelized flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 3/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220° or 225°.
  2. Beat egg white until stiff.
  3. Add light brown sugar and vanilla to the egg white and beat a little.
  4. Add pecan halves and coat them well with the mixture.
  5. Arrange coated pecans on a lightly greased cookie sheet (use margarine).
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Turn off the oven and let the pecans set for 30 minutes before removing.
