Ingredients

  • 1 cup cracklings, ground up
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, partially drained
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds

Instructions

  1. Snip the sauerkraut with kitchen shears.
  2. Add the ground cracklings, flour, sugar, and caraway seeds to the sauerkraut and mix well; chill the mixture.
  3. Roll out the chilled mixture to a thickness slightly thicker than pie crust.
  4. Cut into 2-inch squares and bake on an ungreased baking sheet at 350°F until brown and crisp.
