Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. caraway or celery seed (if desired)
  • sauerkraut
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. brown sugar (if desired)

Instructions

  1. Cover the kraut with water and boil for 25 minutes.
  2. Pour off the water and sprinkle with flour.
  3. Stir well and cook a little longer.
  4. Serve with pork cracklings or crumbled bacon.
  5. Kraut may be seasoned with 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 teaspoon caraway or celery seed.
