1 Crust Apple Pie

- Peel and dice about 1 1/2 to 2 quarts of apples.
- Add 1/4 cup water and cook until thick, stirring often.
- Melt the oleo (butter).
- Mix cinnamon and sugar.
- Beat the egg and add sugar and melted oleo.
- Mix well until combined.
- Add cooked apples and mix gently.
- Pour the apple mixture into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F, then reduce temperature to 350°F.
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
