Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. oleo (butter)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups cooked apples

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice about 1 1/2 to 2 quarts of apples.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water and cook until thick, stirring often.
  3. Melt the oleo (butter).
  4. Mix cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Beat the egg and add sugar and melted oleo.
  6. Mix well until combined.
  7. Add cooked apples and mix gently.
  8. Pour the apple mixture into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F, then reduce temperature to 350°F.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
