Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast, sugar, milk, and warm water together.
  2. Add shortening, salt, and flour to the mixture.
  3. Let the mixture set for 20 minutes.
  4. Flour a board and work the mixture until firm.
  5. Form into rolls or a loaf shape.
  6. Let set for another 20 minutes, then bake until done or browned on top.
