Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and gradually add the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix in lemon juice, then gradually incorporate the flour until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased jellyroll pan and spread evenly.
  5. Mark the batter into 24 squares and place some cherry pie filling in each square.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into 24 squares.
