Ingredients

  • 15 oz. Raisin Bran cereal
  • 5 cups flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 quart buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix Raisin Bran cereal, flour, sugar, salt, soda, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  2. Add beaten eggs, vegetable oil, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. Do not stir again after initial mixing.
  4. The batter will be thick and will become thicker over time.
  5. Store the batter in a covered container for up to 6 weeks.
  6. Fill muffin cups half full with the batter.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
