A Good Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sausage
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. uncooked rice

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage, drain.
  2. Saute pepper, onion and celery in butter.
  3. Add to browned sausage.
  4. Combine soup mix in boiling water in a large saucepan; stir in rice, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Combine sausage mix and rice mix.
  6. Add salt.
  7. Put in greased casserole dish and bake at 375° for 30 minutes until hot. Serves 10.
