Ingredients

  • 2 large cans baked beans
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 to 10 slices cured bacon

Instructions

  1. Place the baked beans and chopped onion in a baking dish.
  2. Mix the molasses, catsup, brown sugar, and water; pour over the beans and onion.
  3. Place slices of cured bacon on top of the beans, ensuring they are not pushed down too much to prevent over-browning.
  4. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until bubbly and the bacon is browned.
