- Bring rice, salt, margarine, and water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Cook until rice is tender.
- Drain the rice.
- Do not rinse. Add sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and raisins.
- Mix well to combine.
- Bring milk and Jell-O mix to a boil over medium heat.
- Stir the hot milk mixture into the rice mixture.
- Bake in the oven until the top shakes like custard.
- Remove from oven and let cool for about 15 minutes.
- Cover with clear wrap and let set for about 30 minutes.
- Serve warm.
