Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups peanuts
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, syrup, and 1/3 cup water in a skillet.
  2. Cook to hard crack stage.
  3. Remove from heat and add baking soda.
  4. Add butter, vanilla extract, and peanuts.
  5. Turn out onto a buttered cookie sheet.
  6. Cool and crack into pieces.
