Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 lb. uncooked spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or skillet.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
  3. Crumble in ground beef and cook until it loses its red color.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the meat.
  5. Pour in tomato sauce and water; bring to a boil.
  6. Break spaghetti in half and add it gradually to the sauce, stirring to keep it separated.
  7. Cover tightly and stir occasionally.
  8. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until spaghetti is tender.
  9. Serve hot with cheese.
