Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate cake mix with pudding in mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 7 oz. package coconut
  • 10 1/2 oz. package marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Make the chocolate cake according to the package directions and bake in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. In a saucepan, boil 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of evaporated milk over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the marshmallows, coconut, and chopped pecans until well combined.
  4. Pour the coconut mixture over the warm cake.
  5. In another saucepan, bring 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of evaporated milk, and butter to a boil.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  7. Spread the chocolate glaze over the coconut layer on the cake.
