Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 c. cold milk
  • 8 oz. cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Bake the yellow cake as directed in a 9 x 13 inch sheet pan.
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple and juice over the hot cake immediately after baking.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the instant vanilla pudding with cold milk until well combined.
  4. Beat in the cream cheese gradually until smooth.
  5. Spread the pudding and cream cheese mixture over the pineapple-topped cake.
  6. Cover the cake with Cool Whip.
  7. Garnish with pecans or coconut if desired.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
