Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 diced potatoes
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 teaspoons salt, to your liking (or more)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in the pan, and add the onions in along with the ginger garlic paste. Cook for 1 minute
  2. Add in the cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves. Saute for 2 minutes Add the garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, tomatoes and salt.
  3. Add in your diced potatoes, and peas. Mix and pour in 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Serve with Indian flatbread or rice.
