Aloo Mutter
Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons oil ⓘ
- 1 medium onion ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 3 cloves ⓘ
- 1 cinnamon stick ⓘ
- 2 bay leaves ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 teaspoons chili powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder ⓘ
- 2 tomatoes, quartered ⓘ
- 2 diced potatoes ⓘ
- 1 cup peas ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons salt, to your liking (or more)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup coriander leaves ⓘ
Instructions
- Heat oil in the pan, and add the onions in along with the ginger garlic paste. Cook for 1 minute
- Add in the cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves. Saute for 2 minutes Add the garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, tomatoes and salt.
- Add in your diced potatoes, and peas. Mix and pour in 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Serve with Indian flatbread or rice.
