Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 2 medium onions, chopped fine
  • 1 green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon salad mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Mix cabbage, onions, green pepper, and sugar together.
  2. Set aside while making the dressing.
  3. Combine vinegar, water, celery seed, salad mustard, and salt in a small saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour the hot dressing over the cabbage mixture.
  6. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
