Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/4 to 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 5 1/2 c. plain flour

Instructions

  1. Mix dry yeast with 1/2 cup warm water.
  2. Dissolve sugar and salt in 2 cups of water and oil.
  3. Add beaten egg.
  4. Combine all together, then add flour, a little at a time.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Cover and put in warm place until double in size.
  7. Knead down and put in refrigerator until ready to use.
  8. Can stay as long as 1 week.
  9. When ready to use, roll dough until about 1/2-inch thick.
  10. Cut into desired shape or size.
  11. Let rise in baking pan about 2 hours before cooking.
