Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour (unsifted)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Bisquick
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk (2%)

Instructions

  1. Fold all ingredients together until just combined.
  2. Do not overmix; the batter should be soft and slightly lumpy.
  3. Use an ice cream scoop to portion the batter into hot cooking oil (about 2 to 3 inches deep).
  4. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
