Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 envelope gelatin
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated

Instructions

  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/2 cup sugar and pat evenly into a good-sized dish to form the crust.
  2. Soak gelatin in sweet milk for 1/2 hour, then add 1 cup sugar and beaten egg yolks. Cook until it boils and then cool thoroughly.
  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the cooled cooked custard.
  4. Whip the cream and fold into the custard and egg whites mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into the crust and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs.
  6. Chill until set before serving.
