Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 packages Dream Whip
  • 4 egg whites
  • 30 crushed graham crackers
  • 8 tablespoons melted butter
  • 8 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook the white sugar, beaten egg yolks, and milk in a double boiler until thick.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool somewhat.
  3. While still medium hot, add unflavored gelatin, cold water, and vanilla. Stir until dissolved.
  4. Let the mixture cool until it becomes solid.
  5. Fold in packages of Dream Whip and beaten egg whites.
  6. Beat with a mixer at low speed until stiff peaks form.
  7. Prepare the graham cracker crust by combining crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and brown sugar, then press into a pan.
  8. Pour the filling into the crust and chill until set before serving.
