Annie'S Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef (or mixture of ground veal, pork, and beef)
  • 11 medium eggs
  • 3 handfuls of breadcrumbs
  • 2 1/2 handfuls grated Romano cheese
  • fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 teas. black pepper
  • 2 teas. salt
  • 1/2 the juice from a small can of whole tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Put everything into a large mixing bowl and using your hands, mix ingredients thoroughly.
  2. The mix should be pretty moist
  3. (but you can adjust breadcrumbs if needed).
  4. Roll meatballs about the size of golf balls.
  5. In large frying pan, fill vegetable oil about 1 inch deep.
  6. Heat oil and add meatballs.
  7. Carefully brown on all sides until done.
  8. If there are any left after everyone has sampled them fresh from the frying pan, you can add them to your sauce.
  9. This recipe was obtained by carefully observing Grandma making these and writing it all down!
