- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Tear off large sheets of aluminum foil to wrap each onion individually.
- Peel and cut 5 medium to large onions in half or into suitable pieces for wrapping.
- Place the onions on the foil sheets.
- Sprinkle garlic salt and lemon pepper over the onions to taste.
- Cut 1 1/2 sticks of butter into small pieces and distribute over the onions.
- Wrap each onion securely in the aluminum foil.
- Place the foil-wrapped onions on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes, or until onions are tender.
- Remove from oven, carefully unwrap, and serve hot.
