- Combine eggs, sugar, and flour until smooth.
- Add milk or half and half and blend well.
- Set the custard mixture in the refrigerator to chill.
- Butter an 11 x 7 x 1 3/4-inch pan and line the bottom with sliced bread.
- Layer half of the chopped apples, raisins, and one-third of the custard over the bread.
- Repeat with the second layer of bread, apples, raisins, and custard.
- Top with the remaining bread slices and pour the remaining custard over the top.
- Drizzle melted oleo (butter) over the top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45 to 60 minutes until the custard is slightly firm and golden.
