Ingredients

  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 large apple, peeled and thin sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped nutmeats (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Stir together the beaten egg, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Fold in the sliced apple and chopped nutmeats if using.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9-inch pie pan.
  4. Sprinkle with a mixture of 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon on top.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F.
