Ingredients

  • 2 tubes (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup Mountain Dew soda
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll crescent rolls and separate into 16 triangles.
  3. Cut each apple into eight wedges.
  4. Wrap a crescent dough triangle around each apple wedge.
  5. Place the wrapped apples in a greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
  6. In a bowl, combine sugar and melted butter; sprinkle over the rolls.
  7. Slowly pour Mountain Dew soda around the rolls without stirring.
  8. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top.
  9. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
