Ingredients

  • 8 to 12 apples or pears
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the apples or pears.
  2. Place the sliced fruit in a glass baking dish and cover with white sugar.
  3. Mix brown sugar and flour with butter or oleo to make a paste.
  4. Drop the brown sugar and flour mixture over the fruit.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
  7. Bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
