- Spread (brush) phyllo dough with melted butter.
- Cover with damp paper towels.
- Mix apples, raisins, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Spread fruit mixture down the center of the prepared phyllo dough.
- Roll the dough jelly roll style to enclose the filling.
- Make 3 diagonal knife slits on top of the rolled pastry.
- Spread the top with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the top with sugar.
- Bake at 370°F until golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
