Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon margarine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups minute instant brown rice
  • 1 small apple, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring water, applesauce, margarine, salt, and cinnamon to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in the minute instant brown rice.
  3. Return to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in the chopped apple.
  7. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
