Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. apricot flavored gelatin
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and corn syrup in a 3-quart saucepan.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Increase heat and cook without stirring until the mixture reaches the hard ball stage.
  4. Meanwhile, dissolve the apricot flavored gelatin in a small amount of hot water.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gradually pour the hot sugar syrup into the beaten egg whites, beating constantly.
  7. Add the dissolved gelatin into the mixture and continue beating until well combined.
  8. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it cool before cutting into pieces.
