Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. unsalted butter
  • 1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 c. apricot preserves
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1 egg white, beaten

Instructions

  1. Cream Cheese Pastry:
  2. Mix flour and salt.
  3. Cut in cold water to form small peas.
  4. Mix in cream cheese with fork to form dough. Shape into 5 inch square and chill at least 1 hour.
  5. Roll out dough to 12 inch square.
  6. Cut into 36 two inch squares.
