Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup apricot nectar
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 10 Tbsp margarine
  • 1/2 cup rum

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, vegetable oil, and apricot nectar in a bowl.
  2. Add the yellow cake mix to the mixture.
  3. Beat the mixture for 5 minutes at medium speed.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured Bundt or tube pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50 minutes or until done.
  6. In a small pan, melt margarine, sugar, and rum together.
  7. As soon as the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and pour the rum mixture over the hot cake.
  8. Allow the cake to cool for one hour before removing from the pan.
