Ingredients

  • 1 lb. asparagus
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add asparagus and 1 teaspoon salt; cover and cook for 5 minutes or until tender-crisp.
  3. Drain the asparagus.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter or margarine and melt.
  5. Return the asparagus to the skillet and toss to coat.
  6. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately.
