Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 lb. ground round lean
  • 2 onions, chunked
  • 2 cans hot chili beans
  • 2 cans red kidney beans
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. cumin
  • 2 Tbsp. chili pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef; pour off excess grease.
  2. Add chopped onions, minced garlic, cumin, and chili pepper to the meat.
  3. Mix well and cook until onions are softened.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, chili beans, kidney beans, and about three cans of water.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until flavors meld and chili thickens.
