Ingredients

  • 4 heaping Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 (1/4 stick) butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and butter together.
  2. Add eggs and beat.
  3. Add flour, salt and baking powder.
  4. Mix and knead with hands.
  5. Keep adding flour to right consistency.
  6. Roll, cut into strips and tie into knot.
  7. Fry in hot Crisco.
  8. Drain on paper towel.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
