Ingredients

  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 7 egg whites
  • 1 lb. sugar

Instructions

  1. Add salt and vanilla to the egg whites and beat until mixture stands in peaks.
  2. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until very stiff.
  3. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto a well-buttered cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 250° for 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
