Ingredients

  • 2 cups navy beans
  • ham hocks or leftovers
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1/2 cup diced onion

Instructions

  1. Soak the navy beans overnight in water.
  2. Cook the soaked beans until their skins burst.
  3. Leave the cooking water on the beans and mix in the ham hocks, salt, brown sugar, dry mustard, molasses, and diced onion.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a Crock-Pot and cook for 6 to 8 hours at 250° to 350° (No. 2 on High on the Crock-Pot).
