Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp sage
  • 4 or more apples, peeled and wedged
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Brown the pork chops and place them in a baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and sage.
  2. Lay apple wedges over the chops. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Make gravy with flour and drippings, then add hot water, vinegar, and salt to taste.
  4. Stir until the gravy thickens.
  5. Pour the gravy over the chops and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
