Ingredients

  • 17 oz. can sweet peas, drained
  • 3/4 cup Carnation evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons pimentos, chopped
  • 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
  • 4 slices salt bacon
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place drained peas in a baking dish and add evaporated milk.
  3. Fry salt bacon until crisp and pour over the peas.
  4. Add chopped pimentos, salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Sprinkle with fine bread crumbs.
  6. Bake until the mixture bubbles and the top is golden.
