Ingredients

  • 1 lb. shelled pecan halves
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat egg white until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla to egg white. Mix well and coat pecans.
  2. Melt butter on a cookie sheet. Pour pecans onto the pan in a single layer.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Salt lightly and turn over the pecans.
  5. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Salt lightly again. Turn over the pecans and bake for another 10 minutes.
